After gratitude
I dream
carving steadily
my initials
on your neck.
Piercing perhaps
like slow needles
of heroin
a minute accident
carving a mother’s mark.
Abbe Mogell is a poet and photographer who resides in Pennsylvania. She recently attended writing workshops at Colgate University and Rosemont College.
When she is not busy with her creative endeavoring she is managing a myofascial release and healing arts practice in Erdenheim, PA. There she works with persons who have chronic pain challenges.
